So wtf is this?
- Made single-handedly by me (well... I did use both hands) as my graduate game at FAMU.
- About 1.5-3 hours of story based gameplay (mostly linear but with freedom 🇱🇷)
- Play as an angry anthro lizard that swears and gets confused by the world around.
- Original music
- Cool VFX (at least my mom said so)
- Cool soundtrack (at least my dad said so)
- Serious game that not very seriously questions various issues of the world, humanity and my own
- Road map is available on Trello: https://trello.com/b/x8h0vhc6/zero-impact
Controls
Keyboard + Mouse or Gamepad. Gamepad controls still need a polishing pass to make aiming more pleasant.
Disclaimers
While this game has been tested many times, there will still be bugs. If you report them I'll try to fix them.
While there isn't explicit sexual content, it features adult themes and the game features an untested integration
with Intiface / Buttplug.io. There is no particular reason for that apart from me being bored.
In the very early development I used AI to write mock-up data for item database descriptions and some dialogues. All of them have been since rewritten by me.

I knew I wasn't great at rhythm games to begin with but I very much suck at actually landing hits on enemies here it seems.
Welp, skill issue and all that. Still, I enjoyed what I played and there is a certain charm to the game that kept me interested!
Unfortunately I had to stop after a bit as the game started breaking on me, my upgrades started showing up in red while still saying I had them, but I in fact didn't have them anymore.
I also got stuck for a while trying to complete the objective to find a job at the station, then realized I did everything except press E on the menu as you can usually use the mouse on everything else.
The PoI icons can get a bit finicky to select when there are a few of them overlapping each other, it seems like the icon's placement on the screen doesn't align with where your mouse need to be to select them either.
Thanks a lot for the feedback! In case the rhythm part is too hard, there is a difficulty setting in the game settings that right now affects only how hard it is to catch the beat.
I apologize for the issues and will try to fix them asap, it should definitely be possible to select the “Jobs” button using mouse, I’ll investigate!
POI selection is also something I’ve had issue with for a long time, I have some ideas on how to make it better (spread out clumps evenly when selecting one of them for example), but I gotta find time to test it out properly.
So I checked out the update and can confirm that the upgrades disappearing issue I mentioned is actually limited to the 3D printer (and maybe inventory items?).
If you die or reload a save in any way then you can't repair the ship with thrash anymore, the only way to fix it is to get a chill point and get another upgrade, though it happens again next time a save is loaded.
After that bug happens the 3D printer also doesn't show up in the inventory menu anymore, same for the trash, though that could be just a visual thing.
Also ran into an issue with the item you find in one of the asteroid areas (the nav computer I think?), when I picked it up it would break the ship menu's camera and dialogue menus, making them almost unusable.
I didn't pick it up because of it so if it was needed for the main quest then I might be softlocked now.
Fix is up for both issues (1.0.9). Thanks a lot for the investigation, it helped me locate the bug quick!
Not taking the nav computer shouldn’t soft-lock you, it should just keep reappearing if you use the Sector Scanner until you pick it up as it’s necessary for progress. I’ve drastically reduced the amount of post-processing it applies, so it should now work both in new saves and any old ones where you already have it.
I might just be completely thick but I can't for the life of me figure out how to look for a job at Lekrad's Intrasystemic Central Station. Calling the assistant or mechanic just gives me generic "just looking around" style responses, and there are only guard ships around.
I got stuck there too! You have to press E when you're on the station's menu, which I don't think is mentioned anywhere and I haven't encountered other times where you can't just left click something in a menu to continue.
That did the ticket, thanks!
I realize it’s not needed anymore, but fixed version is up :3 (with some additional fixes and QoL things)
oH..
Seems the UI got broken in the latest build and there is a whole panel with buttons missing lmao. I’ll make a hotfix asap.
